Workflow
-
Clients upload their files on a secure FTP server.
-
Our DTP Production managers download the file and check if all the required inputs are present.
-
The work is assigned to a qualified DTP professional.
-
Once the work is completed, the DTP supervisor conducts a quality check.
-
A PDF version of the work is sent to the client for approval.
-
If there are any specific changes suggested by the client, they are incorporated.
-
The final approved files are uploaded to a secure FTP for the client to download.
QC process...
At OCRTeam we have two QC phases; in the first one, the DTP specialists make sure themselves that they have applied all the project instructions and addressed the client’s needs. This is done by running QC checks for the following:
-
Numbers Formatting
-
Punctuation
-
Product specs
-
No missing text
-
Callouts
-
Fonts
-
Graphics
-
Columns proofed
-
Tabs
-
Margins
-
New TOC and Indexes generated
-
Electronic files and color settings checked
-
Checked against English/source documents
-
Verified functionality of output files (PDF, Postscript, etc.)
Then comes the second phase, where the QC specialists do their own part by carry out a final quality check on every document and graphic file before sending the completed project to the client. This is performed in order to ensure the document has been accurately localized and put together without the slightest hitch. Only professional native-speaker translators, editors, and proofreaders are assigned for review and quality control tasks.
